Valley Fight Series back at the Table Mountain Casino Resort for VFS 14 Saturday Feb 24th

It is fight week in the Central Valley! We have a busy week in MMA, with two events in the same week. It is starting to feel like it used to be around these parts, where it was a normal thing to see the Casinos in our area putting on MMA events, more often. The Table Mountain Casino Resort in the Fresno area has picked up where they left off, and will host live MMA action on Saturday February 24th 2024 with Valley Fight Series 14.

The Table Mountain Casino Resort in Friant, Ca was home to some legendary wars as far back as 1999. The IFC (International Fighting Championship) had names such as "Crazy" Bob Cook, Vladimir Matyushenko, Chuck Liddell and many more. Names that went on to the fight for Pride and the UFC. The Casino is now home to Valley Fight Series, a MMA promotion based out of Reedley, Ca.  The promotion now holds events that combine professional and amateur MMA fights, all in one night for the Valley MMA fans. VFS fight cards also feature Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai bouts, giving almost all forms of combat a platform.

VFS made their debut at the Table Mountain Casino Resort to close out last year. The venue, which had its grand opening in 2022. Proved to be a beautiful place to hold MMA events. The Central Valley MMA fans packed the house, and look to do the same again on Saturday February 24th. VFS has a full night of action planned, with some of the Valley's favorite fighters competing in either pro MMA, amateur MMA, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, or youth pankration bouts.

The main event will see one of the original Central Valley heavy hitters, Brandon Cash "Money" return to MMA action. (10-6) Cash is a Bellator and Strikeforce veteran known to hurt people when he lands. Cash returns to take on (13-4) heavyweight Alexey Kiser to crown the first ever professional VFS Heavyweight Champion.

Also on the card, there will be blood! As Tyler "BloodThirsty" Miller is back after an impressive pro debut at VFS 13. Miller, who trains out of Trifecta MMA in Visalia, Ca, looks to keep dominating the bantamweight division when he takes on a tough (1-1) Chris "The Executioner" Chavez.

Just added to the card in a pro Muay Thai bout Andrew Nguyen out of Fresno takes on Santa Cruz's Daniel Compton. Compton steps in on late notice to take on Nguyen for the vacant VFS Middleweight Muay Thai title.
