Valley Fight Series hosted VFS 20 on Saturday June 28th, 2025. Day two of the promotions first ever weekend of combat sports from the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, Ca. The event hosted a long night of competition with bouts in pro MMA, amateur MMA, Muay Thai and youth pankration.

Josh Thurrot, VFS 20 - Cali Fights Magazine

In the main event current VFS Middleweight Champion “Juicy” James Porter out of Fresno took on the Bay Area’s Josh Thurrot for both the VFS Pro Middleweight & Light Heavyweight  titles. Thurrot was able to get the fight to the canvas where he moved to Porter’s back and locked in a rear naked choke that forced the tap in round 1. Making Josh Thurrot the new VFS Pro Middleweight & Light Heavyweight Champion.

Anthony Parham vs Joshua Simpson, VFS 20 - Cali Fights Magazine

In the co main event Anthony Parham was able to use his wrestling to earn a unanimous decision win over Fresno’s Josh Simpson to win the VFS Pro Featherweight title. 

Larry Gonzales, VFS 20 - Cali Fights Magazine

Fresno’s Larry Gonzales defeats Justin Davis by tko with some ground and pound that forced the referee to stop the fight at 4:00 in round 3. Gonzales is now the new VFS Pro Heavyweight Champion.

Bakersfield’s Rafael Jimenez defeats Joe Palacios by tko 3:56 in round 1.

Jonathan Moskowitz vs Andrew Toste, VFS 20 - Cali Fights Magazine

Visalia’s Jonathan Moskowitz defeats Andrew Toste by unanimous decision.

Chris Chavez defeats Alex Canders by unanimous decision in the first pro MMA bout of the night.

Ronnie Martinez defeats Marissa Burkdoll by unanimous decision (4 Women Muay Thai 4 tournament final )

Gavin Geronimo defeats Alex Hernandez by tko at :56 seconds in round 1 to win the VFS Amateur Flyweight Championship.

Isaiah Luna defeats Mike Sullivan by unanimous decision. (4 Man Muay Thai Tournament final)

Tyler Childers defeats Arturo Ramirez Jr. by unanimous decision to retain his VFS Amateur Welterweight Championship.

Storm Heredia defeats Matt Marquez by unanimous decision to win the Amateur VFS & UMMAF State Muay Thai Championship 

Adam Penunuri  defeats Ameer Mohammed by ko landing a nice combo that ended the fight at :9 seconds in round 1. Penunuri is now the new VFS & UMMAF Featherweight Championships.

Jose Perez defeats Damien Iapichino by unanimous decision to win the VFS  Muay Thai Championship 

Robert Aguilar defeats Tavious Hunter by unanimous decision.

Angel Ochoa defeats Carlos Gutierrez by unanimous decision.

Gian San Mateo defeats Dean Furr defeats by unanimous decision.

Matteo Gurrola defeats Orlando Meza by unanimous decision.

Carlos Covina defeats Angel Mendoza Perez by tko in round 2.

Neto Nuno defeats Daniel Reyes by submission with a rear naked choke at :56 seconds into round 2.
