559 Fights has announced that they will be heading back to the Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, Ca on Sunday October 19th 2025 for 559 Fights 118. Following a successful first pro/am show at EMC, 559 Fights is back with their second pro/am event. Where they will crown the first professional champion for the promotion in the main event.
Parlier’s own (7-2) Christian “LandShark” Avalos is back in the 559 Fights cage! The current A1 Combat Lightweight Champion returns to where he started. Going 7-0 as an amateur with 559 Fights, Avalos also became the 559 Fights & CAMO State champ in his division. The “LandShark” will look to become the first professional 559 Fights Lightweight Champion in the main event. When he takes on (11-7) Samuel “The Alley Cat” Alvarez, again. The two met in July of last year, with Avalos successfully defending his title with a unanimous decision victory. Since then both fighters had moved on, with Avalos setting the A1 Combat record for most title defenses in May. While Alvarez got back in the win column in June and called out for a rematch with Avalos, preferably on neutral grounds.
Alvarez got the rematch he asked for, but this time at the Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, California. Some would say even deeper into the Central Valley where a packed house will be welcoming home a 559 Fights veteran in Christian Avalos. Regardless “The Alley Cat” has jumped on the opportunity to spoil the party and become the first professional champion himself. Avalos is currently riding a six fight win streak with no signs of slowing down. A rematch that has the Valley buzzing, as Avalos vs Alvarez 2 for the 559 Fights Lightweight Championship headlines 559 Fights 118
The Co main event will see another 559 Fights veteran return as a pro. When Fresno’s (2-1) Josh “ComeUp Kid” Simpson welcomes (6-1) Jessie Rosas to the Central Valley.
The Tule River Tribe's own (2-0) Shane Christie will also be back in action taking on (3-0) Trent Ebarb.
559 Fights 118 will also feature two amateur title fights on the undercard when Madera’s (6-3) Kyle Mask takes on (2-1) Adrian Moyado for the vacant 559 Fights Amateur Super Middleweight Championship.
559 Fights Amateur Featherweight Champion (4-1) German Taboada will put his title on the line versus (5-3) Johnny Diaz
559 Fights has also announced that their pro/am events will now be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass moving forward starting at 559 Fights 118!
