MMA Fights Pass’s Archie Tovar has big plans for his promotion

Weigh ins, one of the last things on a long list to get done for MMA Fight Pass’s Archie Tovar. As he puts the final touches on this Saturdays MMA Fight Pass Cage Fights Vol.4 “Battleground”. From the Boys and Girls Club in Famersville Ca. ValleyFightNews.com was able to connect with Tovar to get his thoughts, as the countdown to fight time gets closer.

MMA and combat sports is no stranger to Farmersville Ca. Many fighters and Teams have put the town on the map before. There just hasn’t been an event held in the city, ever. MMA Fight Pass ends that Saturday June 25th, 2022. Why Farmersville? We kind of knew why, with Farmersville being home to Team KO, but our first question for Tovar was. What brings your Promotion to Farmersville Ca? And is the plan to make Farmersville a permanent stop, as your product continues to grow in the valley? Tovar started by saying.

“Several Members from the MMA Fight Pass team have been friends with Danny Valdovinos spanning over 15 years. After hosting several Mixed Martial Art events ranging from MMA Cage fights to Muay Thai tournaments to Boxing exhibition matches. I soon thereafter contacted Danny to start planning an event for Farmersville.” Said Tovar.

As he continues growing his promotion in the central valley, Tovar isn’t stopping there with plans to travel up north saying,

“We are planning to make Farmersville a MMA Fight Pass frequent stop and host events on a regular, for sure. We plan to have Mixed Martial Arts Shows in both Bakersfield & Farmersville. We have been invited to do a show in Northern California as well, we are exploring our options.”

Headlining MMA Fight Pass Cage Fights Vol.4 “Battlegrounds” will be the heavyweights as (5-1) AJ Perez takes on (6-4) Jason Fonzi for the Vacant MMA Fight Pass Heavyweight title. When asked what to expect from these two, Tovar said.

“We have the 2 of the Best Amateur Heavyweights that California has to offer today! They will be fighting for our title. Jason Fonzi is one of the best heavyweights in California holding the CAMO MMA Heavyweight State Title, along with a Belt from 209 Beatdown. AJ Perez is the best heavy weight in Central California, with multiple heavyweight championship belts to his name. We expect to have an exciting fight, as both fighters will be going Pro.”

The card also has some other central valley fighters ready for battle, I asked Tovar who we should look out for Saturday night. he responded,

“We have Juan Campos and Jacob Garcia from the hometown of Farmersville. They will bring excitement to the community of Farmersville. We will also have Felix DeLaPena that is an up and comer with impressive MMA skills. Stuart Smith (Felix’s Teammate) has a nice striking game combining it with his Muay Thai skills. The heavy weight AJ Perez is from Fresno and is expected to bring a large crowd with him. We also have a Fighter from Bakersfield on the card that is worth mention. His name is Pedro Trujillo with a record of 2-0 and is only 18 years young. Look out for Pedro. Pedro will be our co-co Main event.”

The event will kick off early in the day with some exhibition boxing beginning at 12pm. Fans are invited to support the kids as they showcase the results of the hard training. The event will be held at The Boys

and Girls Club at 623 Avery Ave, Farmersville Ca. The boxing exhibition beginning at 12pm will be accepting $15 donations at the door to support the Youth in the Farmersville community. The card for the MMA portion of the event is set and is as follows:
