About Us

Founder and Photographer Elroy "Roy" Walker was born and raised in Visalia, Ca. His love for the sport came from his father Leroy Walker who was a boxing aficionado. Roy was also a huge professional wrestling fan as youngster which eventually lead to MMA. Where he has been a fan since the early days like many who had to rent the first few events on VHS.

Roy would start a website to cover MMA for fun in 2007 where his nephew Daniel would join him to start covering the sport. 

Editor and writer Daniel "Big Trip" Quintana was born in Visalia, Ca and raised in the Bay Area. His first love is football when it comes to sports, but he quickly was introduced to boxing and pro wrestling by of course his grandfather Leroy Walker and Uncle Roy Walker.  

As MMA exploded in the area, reaching the growing audience of fight enthusiasts became important.  Roy and Daniel would cover anything MMA related while highlighting the Central Valley scene for years under mmanews.tk and then Ultimate Fight News.net.

In 2022, the site rebranded itself to Valley Fight News.com rededicating their coverage to the Central Valley and the people from it. Together, Daniel and Roy work on keeping Central Valley fight fans continuously informed on the latest local fight news.
