209 Beatdown XIX Results

JR Entertainment was back with 209 Beatdown XIX. The event took place Saturday July 15th, 2023 from the Stockton Civic Auditorium in Stockton, Ca. It was a night full of quick finishes and was headlined by two title fights. 

In the main event Oakdale's (2-1) Moses Gomez out of the Last Stand fight team took on San Jose's (3-6) Joey Barthelemy for the 209 Beatdown amateur featherweight championship.

Barthelemy looked to pressure Gomez along the cage in round one before landing a hard right hand that sat Gomez down. Gomez would recover and score with a takedown and some punches as the round ended. Gomez came forward in round two, with Barthelemy looking to counter. Gomez would work Barthelemy into the cage, where he scored with knees to the body and legs of Barthelemy. The fight was even in my opinion going into the third round. Barthelemy let loose in the final round, coming forward looking to land bombs. Gomez would meet him with the same energy, and as Barthelemy changed levels to push Gomez's back along the cage. Gomez reverses and has Barthelemy where he had him most of round two, Gomez would then attack the body with knees and punches while keeping Barthelemy pinned up against the cage until getting a late takedown as the final bell sounded. Judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Moses Gomez making him the new 209 Beatdown featherweight amateur champion.

In the co main event Robert Lopez took on Jacob Sechslingloff for the 209 Beatdown amateur flyweight championship. Lopez landed a kick to the head that put Sechslingloff down. Lopez followed up with some punches forcing the referee to stop the fight at just :26 seconds in round 1. Robert Lopez is the new 209 Beatdown flyweight amateur champion.

Antonio Andrade defeats Deshawn Griffin by unanimous decision after three rounds of action. 

Chris Ighalo defeats Tyrese Johnson by unanimous decision.

Jacob Wilkins defeats Luke Armistead by tko at :8 seconds in round 1.

Jermaine Edwards defeats Adam Alonso by ko at just :10 seconds into round 1.

Alfonso Torrez defeats Jose Cervantes by submission in round 1.

Eddie Fuentes defeats Erickson Knoernschild by unanimous decision.

BJ Apolo defeats Robert Martin by tko at : 50 seconds in round 1.

Jojo Pacubas defeats Aaron Trejillo by tko at just :18 seconds into round 1.

Dashiell Allen defeats Jorge Lecuanda by unanimous decision.

Brayden Jones defeats Oscar Osorio by submission with a rear naked choke that ended the fight at 1:24  in round 1.

Faramarz Bayat defeats Joshua Porter by unanimous decision.

Ty Kashiwamura defeats Brian Tapia by ko at :49 seconds in round 2.

Alon Franz defeats Marion Vasquez by submission with a arm bar that forced the tap at 1:07 in round 2.
