Munoz vs Reyes headlines 559 Fights 100 September 16th

There are many things a MMA promotion can do to be better. The most important thing in my opinion is growing and being consistent. Jeremy Luchau's 559 Fights has done just that and more now for over a decade. Starting out in 2012 as another one of Lucahu's project's, 559 Fights was introduced as a new promotion for amateur fighters looking to get their feet wet. The promotion held nine events their first year. 559 Fights stood true to its name and started touring the Central Valley holding events from Bakersfield to Fresno, and everywhere in between, before making Visalia, Ca their permanent home in 2021.

The list of fighters who have launched their careers at 559 Fights and went on to do big things in the sport continues to grow, and so does the promotion. Luchau and staff have developed 559 Fights into one of the top promotions in the West Coast. The fighters are all amatuers but treated as pro's and expected to act that way when competing for 559 Fights. One thing you will notice right away, is although the fights are "amateur", the production is nothing but professional right up there with some of the top tier promotions in the business.

We here at Valley Fight News would like to congratulate 559 Fights and Jeremy Lucahu on all the success! We thank you for continuing to grow MMA right here in the Central Valley and look forward for what's to come.

559 Fights 100 will be celebrated in a major way come September 16th, 2023. Five title fights headline the card from the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca.

Gabriel Reyes, 559 Fights 98 Weigh ins - Roy Walker
Hanford's Gabriel Reyes laid his shin guards on the mat after his last win while moving his record to 3-0 at 559 Fights 99. For those that don't know amateurs must wear the shin protection for their first three fights. Reyes who trains out of Ochoa Combat Academy in Lemoore, was sending a message in his own way. Pretty much letting the 559 Fights bantamweight division know, he was coming for it all.

Isaiah Munoz, 559 Fights 97 - Roy Walker
On that same night Sanger's (3-1) Isaiah Munoz who trains out of Dethrone MMA also captured his third win, along with the 559 Fights Bantamweight title. Munoz put together a nice combo, ending with a right hand that dropped his opponent earning him the win in impressive fashion. Saturday, September 16th, 2023 the two will meet as Gabriel Reyes takes on Isaiah Munoz in the main event of 559 Fights 100.

The co main event will be for the 559 Fights & CAMO State Flyweight Championship as champion (5-1) Javier Torres takes on Interim 559 Fights flyweight champ (4-0) Robert Lopez.

Fresno's Larry Zavala was set to meet Pedro Trujillo in the finals of the 559 Fights middleweight tournament to decide a champion. With Zavala out, Hammerdown Fight Team's (4-5) Jeramy Titsworth steps in to take on One Nation's (3-3) Pedro Trujillo for the 559 Fights Middleweight championship.

Madera's Kyle Mask out of Madera Martial Arts looks to bring home the 559 Fights Cruiserweight title when he takes on (2-2) Kaleo Lagapa out of Salinas.

Fresno's (5-3) Joshua Simpson takes on (3-0) Raul Valdovinos for the vacant  559 Fights Featherweight title.
