Golden Boy Promotions Doubleheader set for April 27th in Fresno

It is fight week in the Central Valley! Golden Boy Promotions is set for their debut event at the Save Mart Center in Fresno California on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

The Valley's Jose Ramirez is back! Now with Golden Boy Promotions, Ramirez will headline the promotion's first event in Fresno. When he takes on Rances Barthelemy in the main event of a doubleheader in the Central Valley. Ramirez last saw action in 2023 at the same venue, where he finished Richard Commey by ko. Ramirez is 12-0 when fighting close to home and 6-0 at the Save Mart Center alone in his professional career. While Ramirez looks to climb the ladder back to title contention.

Standing across from him in the ring on Saturday night in Fresno, will be a man with his own plans in mind. Rances Barthelemy, a former two division champion out of Cuba. Who is coming off a win over Omar Juarez in Las Vegas, in May of last year. Barthelemy is a veteran of 34 fights with 15 of those wins coming by way of ko.

In the co main event knockout artist and current WBO International Welterweight Champion Vergil Ortiz Jr out of Texas. Will look to move his undefeated record to 21-0, when he takes on veteran (25-6) Thomas Dulorme out of Puerto Rico.

There will also be two titles on the line on the main card. When the current WBA, WBC, WBO, and Ring Magazine Flyweight World Champion (14-1) Marlen Esparza puts her titles on the line versus  (14-1)  Gabriela “La Chucky” Alaniz. While (14-0) Raul “El Cugar” Curiel puts his NABF Welterweight title on the line versus (20-4-2) Jorge Marron Jr.

A few local up and comers will fill the undercard, as Visalia's Jennah "The Gem" Creason will make her highly anticipated professional debut. Madera's (8-0) Brian Lua will also be in action in a super flyweight four round bout.

Golden Boy Promotions will be holding a meet and greet on Thursday, April 25th 2024  following the press conference at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold, Ca. The Meet & Greet will begin at 2pm and will have Jennah Creason, Raul Curiel, Marlen Esparza, Gabriela Alaniz, Vergil Ortiz Jr., Joseph Diaz Jr., Oscar Duarte, and Jose Ramirez on hand.
