A1 Combat returns to the Tachi Palace with 2 title fights July 26th

It is fight week in the Central Valley…Again! A1 Combat is back in their home away from home, the 559 for A1 Combat 23! Friday July 26th, 2024 from the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, Ca.

It’s feeding time! As The “Land Shark” Christian Avalos is back to defend his title versus some new blood in the lightweight division. Parlier’s Avalos has won four in a row in his time at A1 Combat so far. He picked up the A1 Combat Lightweight title at A1 Combat 18 and hasn’t looked back since. Avalos is coming off an impressive defense of his title at A1 Combat 21, where he won by knockout in round three. Avalos will defend his A1 Combat Lightweight Championship against “The Alley Cat” Samuel Alvarez.

Who has earned his way to a title shot winning three fights in a row. Alvarez holds a 10-6 record and has done most of his work under the Combate Global banner. Manteca’s Alvarez trains with the crew at Caesar Gracie Jiu Jitsu and has been in the game since 2013. “The Alley Cat” Is also no stranger to the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore California. Alvarez started his professional MMA career at the Tachi Palace in 2015 at Tachi Palace Fights 23, and now nearly nine years later. Will fight for the A1 Combat Lightweight title at A1 Combat 23 at the same venue.

The A1 Combat Featherweight title will no longer be vacant following the co main event of A1 Combat 23. (12-7) Erick Sanchez will take on (12-3) Bruno Souza to decide the new champion. Sacramento’s Erick Sanchez trains out of Team Alpha Male and last saw action, picking up a win at A1 Combat 18 in February. Brazil’s Bruno Souza is a UFC veteran and comes into the fight on a two fight win streak, last defeating Wilson Reis in June.

Undefeated flyweight stand out Laz “El Diablo Morado” Maldonado is back to take on 0-1 Allen Silhanek.

A couple of Tachi Palace Fights veterans will meet as (4-7) Art Hernandez takes on (6-6) Ysidro Gutierrez.

Gilroy’s (4-1) Anthony Figueroa takes on (5-5) Brandon Olson
