Valley Fight Series 28 set for Saturday Sep 26th at the Table Mountain Casino

With a busy week in store for MMA in the Central Valley, it is also fight week for Valley Fight Series! VFS 28 will take place on Saturday September 26^th, 2026, from the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, California. A night of Pro-Am MMA, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu featuring some of the Valley’s favorite fighters.

The VFS Welterweight Championship is on the line in the main event. When Fresno’s own “Big Al” Albert Gonzales takes on current Champion Steven “Savage” Sainsbury out of San Luis Obispo. Gonzales looks to bring the title home, while Sainsbury promises to keep the belt in the Central Coast turning this into a 559 vs 805 affair.

The co main event will see Fresno’s Tyler Childers make his pro debut versus Clovis’s Marlon Watkins. Also making his pro debut at VFS 28 is Fresno’s Paul Porter, who will be taking on Wallace McCoy Jr.

Also, on the card a rematch from what many consider to be the fight of year so far for VFS. As Johnny Diaz will meet Alec Acuavera again, in what is becoming a great competitive rivalry. Plus much more!
