559 Fights 99 Results

559 Fights finished off their last of the outdoor summer series with 559 Fights 99 Saturday July 29th, 2023. The 559 Fights cage would round the bases and sit at home base for one more night at the Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia, Ca. The weather cooperated with this year's summer series, providing comfortable temperatures, leaving the fighters to turn up the heat in the cage. 559 Fights set up a few fights we can look forward to in September at 559 Fights 100

In the main event the 559 Fights and CAMO State Lightweight championship was on the line as undefeated (5-0) Blake "The Snake" Decourcy took on Exeter’s (3-1-0-1) Dorian Hale. Fighters traded kicks until Decoucy took the fight to the ground in round one. Hale made it to his feet with Decourcy scoring with knees to the body. Decourcy would keep the pressure on in round two getting the fight to the ground where he attempted a rear naked choke as the round ended. Dorian landed a nice combo to start round three. Decourcy would get Hale to the ground again where he took his back. The fight went the distance, judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Blake Decourcy making him the new CAMO state and 559 Fights lightweight champion.

In the co main event Parlier’s (3-1-0-1) George Burgos took on (3-0) Robert Lopez for the  559 Fights Interim Flyweight Championship. Lopez scored early with some punches, then took the fight to the ground where he landed a few more shots. Lopez moved to the back of Burgos, where he locked in a rear naked choke that forced that tap in round 1 making Robert Lopez the new 559 Fights Interim Flyweight champion.. Lopezwill now take on Javier Torrez to unify the title at 559 Fights 100.

Mark Felix took on Ramon Cornejo for the CAMO State featherweight title. Cornejo gets the fight to the canvas a couple of times in round one where he looked to score with some punches. Felix stuns Cornejo with hard right hand in round two. Cornejo recovers and ends up in top position where he lands some shots to the body. Cornejo took Felix down in the final round where he scores with some more punches. The fight went the distance and judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Ramon Cornejo making him the lightweight CAMO State Champion.

Isaiah Munoz defeats 2-2) Julio Larrave by tko to win the 559 Fights Bantamweight title. Munoz hurt Larrave with a nice punch, Munoz then followed Larrave to the canvas and landed a few more punches until the ref stopped the fight in round 1.
