Bakersfield Combat 1 card coming together for October 28th

The South Valley's newest MMA promotion, Bakersfield Combat is set to host their first event on Saturday October 28th, 2023. Bakersfield Combat 1 will take place from the Elite Fitness Center in Bakersfield, Ca. Promoter Carlos Mejia and the crew have been hard work putting together a product that will fill the void of MMA events in Bakersfield, and be around for the long haul.

 

Bakersfield's own (6-0) Rafael Jimenez out of One Nation MMA is set to headline the card. Jimenez is a undefeated CAMO State lightweight Champion and holds a few other amateur titles. Jimenez takes on (5-4) Andrew Carvajal.

Also on the card One Nations MMA's middle weight champ (4-2) Pedro Trujillo, who recently won a tournament in the 559 to win a title. Trujillo looks to compete in his hometown of Bakersfield and is just waiting for a opponent to be lined up. 

Fresno's (5-4) Joshua "The ComeUp Kid" Simpson makes the trip to the South Valley to take on Oxnard's (2-1) Stefan Espinoza.

The Chute's (2-3) Julio Larrave out of Bakersfield takes in (0-0) Jackson Lee.
