Fresno's AJ Perez returns to A1 Combat for a heavyweight title fight on March 27th

Fresno's AJ Perez will be returning to where it all started for him as a pro in his MMA career. Perez makes his way back into the A1 Combat cage to challenge for the promotions vacant heavyweight title. A1 Combat owner Tom Anderson announced on the A1 Combat social media pages that Perez would be taking on Jureall Simmons on March 27th, 2026, at A1 Combat 34 "Night of Champions".

Perez is currently 4-1 as a pro in the heavyweight division and started his career with four straight wins. Perez made his pro debut at A1 Combat 8 at the Tachi Palace Casino & Resort in Lemoore, Ca. Where he picked up a knockout win in :53 seconds. Perez takes on Jureall Simmons who has a matching (4-1) record. Simmons also started his career with a four fight win streak, mostly under the Gladiator Challenge banner. The winner between Perez and Simmons will be the inaugural A1 Combat Heavyweight Champion.
