Fight week is just a handful of days away for the Central Valley! Again! and as the countdown begins for Fury FC 66 at the Visalia Convention center July 8th 2022. ValleyFightNews.com was able to catch up with 559 Fights and Tachi Palace Fights veteran Jose “STiLMATiK” Avalos. As he gets ready to return to action.
Avalos out of Parlier, Ca is coming into this fight with a (6-3) record and has been putting in work at Dethrone in Fresno saying,
“Training for this fight camp has been going really great overall a lot of Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, wall work defense, pad work and sparring. I have been working with my coaches Mike Moreno & Rudy Cruz mixing it up with 5 other fighters from our Gym Dethrone that’ll be on the Fury FC Card.”
Avalos made some noise in Combates Americas, earnings two submission victories and unanimous decision to start off a streak. Avalos would then make his way to the LFA where things didn’t go as planned. “STiLMATiK” seems to have brushed that off his shoulder and is ready to show it, saying
“I was on a solid 3 fight win Streak and lost to one of Tims training partners by rear naked choke. A lucky one you don’t see every day. I was doing good in that fight I showed my abilities and comfort I just got caught it happens like that in MMA. In my mind it never even happened, I’m a fresh new fighter the Fans can Expect a calm and vigilant fighter ready to push the limits and ready to fight from anywhere the fight goes an Easy Fun 15 minutes is nothing compared to the 4 hours I train daily, they’ll get a little dose.”
Avalos will be taking on Temecula Ca’s (7-4) Tim “Bad Moon” Riscen, who is the training partner of Avalo’s last opponent. Avalos is aware of what Riscen might have in mind, and welcomes it telling us,
“I’m taking on Tim Riscen, I know he is a veteran in MMA and has been doing this longer than I have. He has a lot of acquired knowledge, I am not overlooking this 39 year old man. I wake up every day with a goal and that is to go and get this work in so I can beat him because hard work beats talent when talent isn’t working. All I need to know about this man is that he is Southpaw and that he is a Wrestler with some Boxing. Taking me Down Will be His Worse Mistake. Everyone who hits the ground vs me gets finished! “
