A1 Combat 7 "Night Of Champions" Main Card Results

Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat sold out the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Sacramento to kick off the New Year. Tickets for A1 Combat 7 "Night of Champions" which took place Friday, January 13th 2023, were a hot item as the event was sold out. This resulted in promotors adding additional seats to accommodate the demand. Fight fans were excited to get the year started with some live MMA action in a packed house Friday night in Sacramento. 

In the main event of the night the vacant A1 Middleweight Championship was on the line as (4-0) Ryan Loder took on (5-1) Troy Green. Green landed a nice right hand that dropped Loder late in round 1. Loder pressured Green against the cage with his wrestling and scored with his kicks in round two. Loder was able to get the fight to the ground in the final round, but Green escaped and returned the favor at the end of the round. The fight went the distance and judges scored the fight (29-28, 30-27, 29-28) for the new A1 Middleweight Champion Troy Green.

In the co main event the A1 Combat Welterweight Championship was on the line as (9-9) Ozzie Alvarez took on (4-0) Tyson Miller. Alvarez controlled round one with his ground game and worked the ground and pound opening up a cut on Miller with a elbow. Alvarez continued in round two with the ground game plan, but it was a hard right hand from Alvarez that dropped Miller. A couple follow up shots and the referee steps in to stop the fight at 3:48 in round 3. Ozzie Alvarez is the new A1 Combat welterweight champion.

In the A1 Featherweight Championship, Sacramento's (5-1) Andrew "Bulldog" Coyne and  (4-1) Justin Cornell went the distance. Judges scored the fight  (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)  a unanimous decision for Andrew Coyne making him the new A1 Combat Featherweight champion. 

Gilroy's (2-0) Anthony Figueroa defeats (4-5) Cesar Gonzalez by submission. Figueroa dominated the first round with his ground game, and kept on with the game plan in round two taking the fight to the ground where he locked in a armbar that forced at tap at 1:08 in round 2.

(2-1) Ernie Juarez defeats (2-1-1) Ignacio Ortiz by decision after three rounds of action.

(2-0) Terrance Saeteurn defeats (4-3) Keaneo Moyer by KO after landing a right hand to the body that folded Moyer at 3:49 in round 2.

A1 Combat returns Friday February 3rd, 2023 from the Tachi Palace Casino & Resort in Lemoore, Ca with A1 Combat 8.  The Tachi Palace Hall Of Fame Ceremony will take place before the main card and is included with your Tickets.
