In a sit-down interview recently held with the Fight Solutions HQ fighter Fabian Hernandez, we not only got to talk about his pending debut in amateur MMA but also his relationship with Fight Solutions HQ head coach Gerson Schilipacke and strength and conditioning coach Natasha Creger.
For many fighters, the transition from any sport to mixed martial arts is one that takes some adjusting. For Fabian Hernandez, a 2022 National Muay Thai champion and blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu underneath Gerson Schilipacke, his thought approach was different.
“I am going to be real with you.. My goal has been to fight in MMA. But first I had to work on my stand-up, so I started off with Muay Thai. My Muay Thai run is done now… right now the goal is straight MMA”
This sort of background should make any MMA fan excited to see the debut of “El Gallo Matador”, who is looking to recover from surgery on his left shoulder before he gets back on the mats once again training full time.
Even with the injury though, Hernandez has still been able to go to work kicking the bag as seen on his Instagram.
With amateur MMA fighters Donavin Morris (4-2), Diego Rhon (1-0), and Cody Williams (1-0) to sharpen their skills as training partners, it is no doubt that Hernandez is challenged on the mats every day and will be more than prepared once the time comes for him to step foot in the octagon.
As of now, there is no timetable on the return of Hernandez. Once news is announced on his debut fight, you know what news source will know about it first!
