Alimkhanuly retains WBO middleweight title in Stockton: Top Rank on ESPN Stockton Results

Top Rank made its way to the Stockton California for Top Rank On ESPN Janibek vs Butler Saturday May 13th, 2023 from the Stockton Arena. Boxing fans were treated to seven professional bouts, including some of the top up and comers. The event was headlined by two WBO title fights and broadcasted live on ESPN+ and ESPN.

Janibek Alimkhanuly vs Steven Butler, Top Rank on ESPN - MIkey Williams

In the main event (14-0) Janibek Alimkhanuly defended his WBO middleweight title versus (32-4-1) Steven Butler in impressive fashion. Alimkhanuly dropped Butler with a left uppercut in round two. Butler would make it to his feet, but got dropped a few more times forcing the referee to step in and stop the bout in round 2.

Jason Moloney, Top Rank on ESPN Stockton - Mikey Williams

In the Co main event (26-2) Jason Moloney defeated (19-4) Vincent Astrolabio by majority decision to win the WBO bantamweight title. Judges scored the bout (115-113, 116-112,114-114) 

Gabriel Flores Jr vs Derrick Murray, Top Rank on ESPN - Mikey Williams

(22-2) Gabriel Flores Jr defeats (17-9-1) Derrick Murray by knockout. Flores Jr landed a left hook that put Murray down. Referee stopped the fight at 0:27 of round 1.

Ruben Villa vs Maickol Villagrana, Top Rank on ESPN - Mikey Williams

(20-1) Ruben Villa defeats (16-5) Maickol Lopez Villagrana by knockout. Villa landed a hard right hand that forced Villagrana to take a knee. The fight was then stopped by the referee at 1:55 in round 5.

(8-0-1) Javier Martinez and (7-0-1) Joeshon James fought to a split draw after eight rounds of actions. Judges scored the fight (79-73, 77-75, 76-76).

(7-0) Amado Fernando Vargas defeats (2-5) Bernardo Manzano by unanimous decision, judges scored the fight  (40-35, 40-35, 40-35) after four rounds. 

(24-0) Brian Norman Jr defeats (24-5) Jesus Perez by unanimous decision. Judges scored the fight (77-75, 78-74, 77-75)
