Torrez Jr. who graduated from Tulare's Mission Oak High School in 2017 as a valedictorian, is fresh of a first round knockout win. The U.S Olympic silver medalist finished Willie Jake Jr by KO in round one in August. Something that has become a regular when Torrez Jr. hits the ring, as he has two first round finishes in 2023 and four all together in his young career.
Torrez Jr. takes on "Mr. JBT" Don Haynesworth out of New Rochelle, New York who has a record of 17-8-1. Haynesworth last saw action in 2022, where he won by tko after his opponent was unable to continue after round one.
Richard Torrez Jr. vs Don Haynesworth will be live on the undercard portion of Top Rank on ESPN Janibek vs Gualtieri and will be broadcasted live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. PT
In the main event The WBO and IBF Middleweight titles will be unified as WBO Middleweight champion (14-0) Janibek “Qazaq Style” Alimkhanuly takes on IBF Middleweight champion (21-0) Vincenzo Gualtieri.
In the co feature (9-0) Keyshawn Davis takes on (16-2) Nahir Albright in a 10 round lightweight bout.
