Urijah Faber's A1 Combat finishes off a big year with A1 Combat 16 in Visalia December 23rd

Urijah Faber's A1 Combat is in the final stretch of the year, with big plans for their final event. A1 Combat makes its way to the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca on Saturday December 23rd, 2023. A early Christmas gift from Tom Anderson and the crew as they join 559 Fights to host a two day event from the same venue. 

A1 Combat has a few other dates to take care of before they come back to the Central Valley. The promotion continues to grow in all directions, announcing that they will now be hosting Combat Jiu Jitsu and Boxing cards, to go along with their Muay Thai, amateur MMA and professional MMA events. The promotion has announced a few of the fights we can look forward to when A1 Combat comes to the Visalia Convention Center on December 23rd. 

Mexico's (14-3) Alejandro "Hulk" Sanchez who is on a six fight win streak, comes to the 559 to take on Gilroy's undefeated (4-0) Anthony Figueroa. Sanchez made a name for him self in the UWC, one of the top promotions in Mexico. Sanchez made his promotional debut for A1 Combat in his last outing, earning a tko win in round 2 at A1 Combat 14 in LA. Anthony Figueroa, out of AntDawg's MMA returns to the A1 Combat cage following back to back wins for the promotion. Last picking up a win at A1 combat 10 at the Tachi Palace Casino & Resort in Lemoore, Ca.

Also on the card Parlier's (7-3) Jose Avalos out of Dethrone MMA is scheduled to take on (4-2) Abdikabyl Kladar.

Former 559 Fights flyweight champion Laz Maldonado also returns to familiar grounds to make his professional debut versus (0-1) Alex Mosier.
