Perez returns to the octagon for the first time since 2022 to take on undefeated (10-0) Muhammad Mokaev. Perez has been through a lot in his time at the UFC, since he first burst onto the scene through Dana White's Contender Series in 2017. Where he racked up four wins to kick off his run in the UFC. To this day Perez is 7-3 under the UFC banner and competed for the promotion's title in 2020 at UFC 255.
Perez has faced a lot of obstacles trying to get back to competing. If it wasn't his fight getting cancelled over and over, it was something else that he had to deal with, that has kept him out of the cage for some time. All that behind him now, Perez looks to start a new chapter in his MMA journey, beginning Saturday night in Las Vegas. It will be no easy task, as Perez will take on a tough Muhammad Mokaev. Who has almost won all of his fights by submission, since joining the UFC in 2022.
Perez vs Mokaev will be the feature bout on the UFC Fight Night card, that will be headlined by a heavyweight match up between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Shamil Gaziev. It all goes down Saturday March 2nd, 2024 from the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs Gaziev will be broadcasted live starting at 10:30 am in the morning PST on ESPN+ with the preliminary bouts. The main card kicks off right after lunch at 1pm PST also on ESPN+.
