Destanie Yarbrough vs Brittney Spinks, VFS 13 Weigh Ins -

A fight in the women's division that made waves in the MMA
community has a date for a rematch. Destanie Yarbrough and Brittney Spinks had
the crowd on their feet in their first meeting at the Table Mountain Casino
during Valley Fight Series 13. The fight saw both ladies have their moments
with Yarbrough getting the win that night when all was said and done. A year
later they have agreed to run it back in the main event of VFS 17.
Fresno’s (3-1) Destanie Yarbrough returns to the cage
following another successful year on the football field. Where she helped the four
time champion Texas Elite Spartans go 5-1 and make it to the IX Cup, which is
the championship game for the Women’s National Football Conference. In week 6
Yarbrough who plays running back, earned player of the week for the league. Running
for 154 yards with three touchdowns. Yarbrough also won the Game Changer Award
from the WNFC following the 2024 season.
Moreno Valley’s (0-1) Brittney “The Black Irish” Spinks has
been busy training since the last fight, which in her opinion was stopped early.
Spinks suggested the referee should have given her the same amount of time to escape
the position as her opponent was allowed, after re watching the fight. Spinks
has been ready to compete versus whoever since then, but the rematch versus
Yarbrough was high on her wish list and we will see part two of Yarbrough vs
Spinks at VFS 17.
