559 Fights moves to the pro-am platform for the first time in their rich history. Bringing MMA back to the Eagle Mountain Casino, which has a rich history in the Central California MMA scene. The casino’s new location has yet to host any combat sports events, however, the original Eagle Mountain Casino, up the Tule River Tribe’s mountains, was home to many MMA events put on by Gladiator Challenge and The Warriors Cage. Some major talent passed through the area to compete on their way to bigger things in their MMA careers. Fighters like Rashad Evans, Joe Soto, Cody Gibson, and even referee Herb Dean put in work inside the cage back in the day in Porterville.
“We are embarking on a mission to bring the Valley’s brightest MMA stars to Eagle Mountain Casino,” Luchu said. “We’ve been fortunate to help build some of the very best prospects in the country and this is going to be a great fit for the future of MMA in the Central Valley.”
The road to 559 Fights Pro-Am at Eagle Mountain Casino has begun with a huge year planned for 559 Fights, including a Road-to-Eagle Mountain Casino contest to win and earn a multi-fight contract.
“We are going to be doing some very exciting things in the build-up to this June event,” Luchau said. “Giving away some pro contracts and more.”
The first pro-am event will take place on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, which will also include the new weight classes that are now in effect and 559 Fights has come up with an innovative way for their amateur athletes to secure a professional contract prior to the pro-am events.
All amateur fighters competing on 559 Fights events from January to May have an opportunity to earn a professional contract.
Amateur fighters who win or defend their title in that time will be put into the Championship pool, where they will get a chance to earn not only a multi-fight professional contract with 559 Fights but also will have their CSAC medicals sponsored and paid for.
Amateur fighters that pick up wins in non-title fights in that same time frame, get their name put in the selection pool. Where someone will earn a multi-fight professional contract from 559 Fights.
The Champions and Selection voting pools will count for 50% of the winner’s score. The other half will be based on consistency, ticket sales, performance, self-promotion, and outside-the-cage conduct. Such as making weight, medicals, and paperwork.
