Tulare’s undefeated (14-0) Richard “Keke” Torres has his first assignment of 2026. Torrez Jr will head to Las Vegas Nevada on Saturday March 28th, 2026, to take on (25-1) Frank Sanchez in an IBF Heavyweight title eliminator. Where the winner will become the mandatory challenger for the IBF Heavyweight title, currently held by the Unified Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk. The bout will take place on the Premier Boxing Champions card from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The event will be available on Prime Video PPV and will be headlined with a clash for the WBC Junior Middleweight title between Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman.
Torrez Jr last saw action in November of last year, stopping Tomas Salek to retain his WBC-NABF & WBO-NABF Heavyweight titles in Mexico. While Frank Sanchez last competed in February of 2025, also picking up a win in Mexico versus Ramon Echeverria.
