559 Fights to feature IKF Muay Thai bouts at 559 Fights 95 March 10th

559 Fights is back at it with 559 Fights 95 Friday, March 10th from the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca. The 559 Fights flyweight championship is vacant now that former champ Laz Maldanado has moved on and set to make his pro debut. That also leaves the CAMO State title vacant as Maldanado had won both titles in his last amateur fight at 559 Fights 90. The main event at 559 Fights 95 will decide the new 559 Fights and CAMO State flyweight Champion as former 559 Fights flyweight title contender (4-1) Javier Torres out of Morgan Hill takes on Terra Bella's  (1-0) Brian Benevidez.

In the co-main event Madera's  (2-1) Roman Guillen takes on Fresno's (2-1) Michael Ramirez for the recently vacated 559 Fights welterweight title.

559 Fights is known for putting on some very entertaining submission grappling matches and have even featured some other exhibition bouts in their early days. At 559 Fights 95 the promotions will feature five amateur Muay Thai bouts in addition to the MMA action. 

“Like we’ve done for the last decade, we will continue our mission to grow Valley Mixed Martial Arts and that comes from showcasing all different types of styles, and disciplines,"

559 Fights President Jeremy Luchau said. “Featuring Muay Thai on this event, will be the third discipline we’ve featured over the last decade and I’m pretty excited about it.”

559 Fights has recently become an IKF promoter and plans to mix in Muay Thai throughout the year.

“My goal has always been to help give athletes a place to showcase their skills, teach them what it takes to get to the next level in the sport, and help them achieve their dreams – whatever those might be,” Luchau added.
