Tulare's Richard Torrez Jr moves to 5-0 as a pro

If you follow Tulare's Richard Torrez Jr on social media. You know that his reels and stories are pretty funny and entertaining. The Mission Oak High graduate has been getting his name out there, outside of boxing with creative content that has the fans waiting for more. In a more recent post, Torrez Jr gave the crowd credit for chanting "Nacho! Nacho!" after his KO win this past Friday night in Arizona. Torrez sports the similar mustache and hair due as Nacho Libre proudly, and will even dare the 80's to try and take their style back from him. Although Torrez has a great sense of humor, it is what he did in the ring that had everyone else making reels on him, again.

Now (5-0) Richard Torrez Jr  took on  (6-2) James Bryant in the fifth professional fight of his young career. The two opened up the Top Rank on ESPN telecast Friday night February 3rd, 2023. Torrez Jr looked to set up the jab early in round one. A couple body shots had Bryant crouching as he covered up. Torrez stepped back to create distance and popped the jab. Torrez timed out the next time Bryant stepped back in crouching with a crushing left uppercut that sent Bryant falling back to the ropes, then hitting the canvas in the closing seconds of round 1.  The crowd at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale Arizona were on their feet as Bryant would make it back to his feet and to his corner. During the break the corner informed the referee that Bryant could not continue. Making Torrez Jr the winner by TKO. He is now 5-0 as a pro with all five wins coming by way of knock out. Keep an eye out for Central Valley's own Richard Torrez Jr.
