Lightweight division to be showcased at 559 Fights 96 Friday April 7th in Visalia

559 Fights is back with 559 Fights 96 Friday, April 7th 2023. The road too 559 Fights 100 continues, as the 559 Fights staff has another great night of action planned. The Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca will be packed one more time before the promotion heads outdoors to the Visalia Rawhide Stadium for their summer series.

559 CEO Jeremy Luchau reached out to let us know about the up coming card. That will feature 16 mixed martial arts bouts, and four grappling matches. Looking at the card more closely it seems we kind of have a lightweight tournament here, with the main event to decide the new 559 Fights Lightweight Champion.

“There are three big-time lightweight fights on this card. In the main event, former 145-pound champ Martin Montez takes on the surging Blake DeCourcy for the vacant 155-pound strap. Also, Visalia lightweight Mark Hernandez fights former title challenger Joseph Palacios and Fresno lightweight Gino Gonzales takes on Exeter’s Dorian Hale."
