Fight Week! CAMO State & 559 Fights Middleweight titles on the line at 559 Fights 108 Saturday Sept 28th

It is fight week in the Central Valley! The Fall season has arrived and along with the leaves and the weather. The 559 Fights middleweight division has changed as well.

There will be a new 559 Fights & CAMO State middleweight champion following 559 Fights 108, Saturday September 28th, 2024, from the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia Ca. Three title fights top the bill, but all eyes are set on the main event in the middleweight division. When the undefeated (3-0) "Young Phenom" Francisco Hurtado out of Coalinga returns looking to take over the division. Standing in his way, straight out of Stockton is the Goon Squad's own Jacob Wilkins.

Training out of Tri City MMA, Hurtado racked up three wins and was in line to face the middleweight champion at the time. An injury would keep Hurtado away from the sport for a bit, when he returned the names and faces in the weight class changed. In that time Kerman’s Anthony Montalvo burst onto the amateur MMA scene, earning himself a chance at the title’s and setting up a huge matchup between Hurtado and Montalvo. An injury that required surgery would shelf the potential match up. Leaving an opportunity open for the next toughest opponent.

In steps Stockton’s Jacob Wilkins, a product of “The Fallen Angel” Dominique Robinson. An MMA veteran who competed everywhere in Central California along with the Goon Squad in the early heyday of pro MMA in the Valley. Robinson now trains a stable of fighters in the Stockton area including Wilkins, who will be looking to bring the titles to the 209 Saturday night at 559 Fights 108.

In the co main event current 559 Fights & CAMO State Bantamweight Champion Julio Larrave out of Bakersfield is back! Fighting out of The Chute MMA, Larrave will take on challenger Jonathan Diaz out of Clovis and Halo BJJ in a rematch from the beginning of this year. The two met in January with Larrave getting the better of things in the match up. Larrave went on to win the titles, while Diaz worked his way up to a title opportunity. Leading to Larrave vs Diaz 2 for both the 559 Fights & CAMO State Bantamweight Championships.

The vacant 559 Fights Welterweight Championship is on the line as well, when former title challenger Michael "R1" Ramirez out of Dethrone MMA takes on Avenal's Fabian Maldonado.

Also, in a bantamweight showdown that can set the winner up for a title shot in the future. Hanford's Ronnie Reyes fighting out the Ochoa Combat Academy takes on Team Oyama's Michael Brown.

559 Fights 108 goes down Saturday September 28th, 2024, from the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca. Tickets available now at www.eventbrite.com/e/559-fights-108-tickets-957397560877
