Valley Fight Series was back in action with their first show
of the year, Saturday February 22nd, 2025. From the Table Mountain Casino in
Friant, Ca. A full day of combat action planned for the Central Valley fight
fans that included pro MMA, amateur MMA, amateur Muay Thai, youth Muay Thai,
and BJJ matches.

Tyler Miller vs Paul Elizondo, VFS 18 - Cali Fights Magazine |
The vacant VFS Bantamweight Championship was on the line in
the main event of the night when undefeated (3-0) Tyler ‘Blood Thirsty” Miller took
on (5-1) Paul Elizondo. Elizondo got the fight to the ground early looking to
keep Miller on the mat, but Miller would escape to his feet while working for a
submission from his back when he did get taken down. Elizondo now seemed a bit fatigued
from trying to get Miller down, shot in again, but Miller stopped it. Forcing Elizondo
to pull guard getting the fight to the ground from there, Miller capitalized
and kept top position landing a few punches before the round came to an end.

Miller
landed a nice punch to start round two, Elizondo shot in for a take down, but Miller
defended well. Elizondo looked like he wanted to pull guard and get to his
back, when Miller blasted him with a high kick that looked to hit the shoulder and
head area as Elizondo was going to his back. The referee immediately jumped in
warning Miller to be careful of an accidental illegal strike to a downed
opponent and that would be the end if the fight. Elizondo would not be able to
continue, 2 points would then be taken from Miller on the score cards, and the
bout was declared a disqualification. The promotion then handed their title to Paul
Elizondo making him their new VFS Bantamweight Champion.

In the co main event the VFS Middleweight Championship was
up for grabs when James Porter met Joseph Ramirez for the vacant title. Porter
worked his kicks in round one, with Ramirez getting a takedown. Porter escaped
and continued with kicks to the body that hurt Ramirez. Porter then closes in
and secures a guillotine choke that forced the tap in round 1. Making James
Porter the new VFS Middleweight champion.

James Delsid took on Kail Melton in a heavyweight matchup. Delsid
dropped Melton with a knee in round one and followed up with some hard punches.
Melton is left leaking from a cut as he makes it back to his feet. Delsid
continues with the onslaught, sending Melton stumbling back to the cage. A few
more shots and the referee steps in and waves off the fight in round 1.
Making James Delsid the winner by tko, who
moved to 3-0 and called it a career. Announcing that he was hanging up the
gloves after the win.
Tracy Hunter defeats Ian Masloff by unanimous decision after
going the distance. All three judges scored the fight (30-27).
Rafael Jimenez makes a successful pro debut defeating Marc
Bibiano by submission with a guillotine choke that forced the tap in round 2.

Emy Perez vs Jalene Delsid, VFS 18 - Cali Fights Magazine |
Team KO’s Emy Perez defended her VFS and UMMAF Amateur
Women’s Atomweight Championship’s versus Jalene Delsid in a rematch. Perez would
get a takedown in round one, with Delsid working to securing a tight arm bar
from her back. Emy escapes and lands some hard punches from top position.
Fighters kept it standing in a close round two. Emy scored with some hard
punches in the final round as the fight went the distance.
All three judges scored the fight (29-28)
unanimous decision. For Emy Perez who retains her VFS and UMMAF Amateur Women’s
Atomweight Championships.

Bobby “Fader” Esquer defeats Josue Villasenor by split decision
to win the vacant VFS Amateur Featherweight Championship. Judges scored the
fight (29-27, 29-28, 29-27).
Mokhales Salama defeats Anthony Orosco by unanimous
decision, all three judges scored the fight (29-28).
Alex Hernandez defeats Daniel Reyes by unanimous decision,
all three judges scored the fight (29-28).
Angel Nava defeats Steve Leonard by submission with a rear
naked choke that forced the tap in round 1.
John Garcia defeats Ramon Chavez by submission due to a leg injury
in round 1.
Gavin Geronimo defeats Collin Stiner by unanimous decision.
Trifecta MMA’s Jairo Aguilar out of Visalia defeated Davis Singh
by tko in their heavyweight match up, Singh could not continue after round 1.
Amateur Muay Thai:
Woodlake’s Lee Saldana defeats Micah Martinez defeats by
unanimous decision to become the new 137 lb Amateur Muay Thai Champion.
Isabelle Johnson defeats Lily Perez by unanimous decision,
all three judges scored the fight (30-27)
William Mack defeats Blake Goehring by split decision.
Matt Marquez defeats Edgar Medina by unanimous decision.
Jose Perez defeats Nic Johnson by decision.
Kaleo Lagapa defeated David Bejarano by unanimous decision.
Isaiah Luna defeats Rosendo Vargas by unanimous decision.
Youth Muay Thai:
Eliana Renteria defeats Lain Houle by tko in round 1 to win
the 63 lb VFS Youth Muay Thai Championship
Janessa Duke defeats Laila Ferguson by unanimous decision.
Daniel Hernandez defeats Robert Bracamontes by unanimous decision.
Antonio Velez defeats Allen Cline by tko due to Dr. stoppage
after the end of round 1.
Orlando Meza defeated Victor Gomez by unanimous decision.
Youth BJJ:
Selma’s Nathan Rostro defeats Victor Juarez Jr by referee’s
decision.
BJJ:
Fedya Chobanyan defeats Jordan Irizarry by submission with a
darce choke that puts Irizarry to sleep in round 1.
