It is fight week in the Central Valley! A double dose of MMA mixed into the Holiday eggnog to get the Christmas festivities started. 559 Fights and Urijah Faber's A1 Combat team up to bring you back to back MMA events at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Ca. Starting on Friday December 22nd 2023 with 559 Fights 102. The following night, Saturday December 23rd 2023. A1 Combat comes to the Visalia Convention Center for the first time for A1 Combat 16. Tom Anderson and the crew have a nice card wrapped up with a bow for the Central Valley MMA fans to finish off the year.

The Ochoa name originally started with Sam Ochoa, a black belt in Ken-Ju-Bo-Ka Kenpo Karate. He opened the doors to his Dojo in Lemoore California in 1999, and would establish a strong group of students that would grow with him. One of the first students to represent Sam Ochoa and Kenpo Karate was Lemoore's own Poppies Martinez. Martinez who got into martial arts in 2000 started with Sam Ochoa before he was known as the "Tachi KId''. Martinez would go on to win a WEC title under Sam Ochoa, which would gain the dojo more popularity.

Torrez took on Curtis Harper Saturday night at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
