559 Fights was back at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia California on Saturday September 28th, 2024 for 559 Fights 108.

Tri City MMA takes home the 559 Fights welterweight, middleweight and CAMO State middleweight titles. While the The Chute MMA's Julio Larrave keeps the bantamweight title in Bakersfield.

The 559 Fights and CAMO State middleweight title's were on the line in the main event when the “Young Phenom” Francisco Hurtado took on Jacob Wilkins. Hurtado was able to get the fight to the ground and worked some punches from top position in round one. Wilkins got a takedown in round two, but Hurtado reverses and controls the rest of the round with his wrestling. Hurtado continued with his ground game nearly locking in a rear naked choke in the final round. The fight would go the distance where the judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Coalinga’s Francisco Hurtado, making him the new 559 Fights & CAMO State middleweight champion.

559 Fights & CAMO State Bantamweight Champion Julio Larrave out of Bakersfield retained his title's in the co main event, defeating Jonathan Diaz by tko. In a rematch from earlier this year, Larrave took the fight to the ground where he took the dominant position and landed some hard shots that forced the referee to stop the fight at 1:33 in round 1. Larrave moves to 7-3 as an amateur and is now on a 5 fight win streak following his first title defense.

Following a close first round for the vacant 559 Fights Welterweight title. Avenal’s Fabian Maldonado stopped Michael Ramirez in devastating fashion landing a right hand followed by a few more punches that put Ramirez out at 1:48 in round 2. Making Fabian Maldonado the new 559 Fights Welterweight Champion.

Michael Brown stops Ronnie Reyes by tko after taking the fight to the canvas. Brown worked his ground and pound until the referee stopped the fight at 1:24 in round 3.

Local’s Dorian Hale out of the Samurai Dojo in Exeter and Matthew Martinez out of Crisp Kickboxing Muay Thai MMA in Visalia took home “fight of the night”.  A back and forth war that saw both fighters have their moments. Martinez was sharp in all areas of the fight, while Hale looks to be a whole new fighter since moving down to the featherweight division. The fight would go the distance where the judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Dorian Hale

Ochoa Combat Academy’s Jahaad Sowell made a successful amateur MMA debut defeating Grant Kelm by tko. Sowell got the fight to the ground where he moved to full mount and rained down punches until the referee stopped the fight at 1:59 in round 1.

Marc Martin defeats David Singh by tko at just :16 seconds into the bout. Martin took the fight to the ground where he was just getting started with his attack before the referee jumped in and stopped the fight at just :16 seconds into round 1.

Aaron Flores defeats Jordan Gipson by unanimous decision

Jonathan Rigby defeats Gemini Lopez by submission with a rear naked choke at 1:57 in round 2.

Oscar Pacheco defeated Rene Lemus Cortez by tko at 1:58 in round 1.
